Fire & Smoke Restoration
JHCA is certified in Fire and Smoke Restoration through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certificate (IICRC). We are experienced and fully insured to safely and properly remediate fire and smoke damage in your home or office
Steps to Remediation
1Damage Assessment
JHCA will survey the loss site to determine the extent to which fire, smoke, heat, and moisture impacted building materials and contents. We will determine the scope of needed cleaning, restoration, and repairs.
2 Removal of damaged building materials
Before any cleaning or restoration can begin JHCA will remove all the building materials and contents that have been effected by the fire, smoke, heat and moisture.
3Soda Blasting of all structural materials
Smoke not only can damage the structure but depending on the severity, smoke odor can linger and be difficult to remove. We use a Baking Soda Blasting process to mitigate fire and smoke damage. Soda Blasting is restorative by nature and is fantastic at restoring wood, stone, concrete, metal and other materials back to their natural state. Clients are amazed at this thorough restorative process.
4Air Scrubbers & Ozone Generators - to eliminate odor
In order to mitigate odor damage, JHCA utilizes ozone generators and air scrubber machines, helping to restore a home or office back to normal air quality.
5Sealant applied to wood framing – additional odor control if necessary
In some cases, a sealant may be applied to wood (to help contain smoke odor).
6Reconstruction
Once mitigation is complete, JHCA will continue the full remediation process through reconstruction. No need for any more contractors on one project. JHCA is fully licensed as a Residential Contractor through the Town of Jackson and has over 20 years of building and structural knowledge. We will rebuild, remodel (if desired) and leave your home or business in better condition than before.
